This is the last song that was written for this album. And it was the last missing piece that the album really needed. A reasonably short, ambient catchy track that felt like a fresh breeze in the mix. It’s clearly something else compared to the rest of the songs. And it’s probably closer to the musical style of Tycho than anything from of our own catalog. Another main influence for this track is the highly underrated solo bandcamp songs by Riley Breckenridge of Thrice.
Moonlit Sailor has been one of my very first bands I found in the Post Rock universe. I instantly fell in love with the song Hope the very first time I listened it, I just became happy and hopeful straight away, so thanks a lot for that amazing song !! The rest of the album is also very good and does complete the ambiance around this very unique atmosphere ! Simon Bastien
I first heard Pillars when I attended Post. Fest 2018 to hear Heron play (I have 2 talented nephews who are members of that band). I thought the guys in Pillars sounded tight and awesome. This album, CAVUM, just proves even more so that I was correct! My favorites on the album are Dissolution and Black Prayer, but plenty of excellent sounds here! Kenneth Blick
